Change that to -1, and you've created an event that goes UNDER tiles. This is an ultimate game changer, and so far, can't be undone. So, with some help recently, your Forum leader helped me find a solution. You know that event tick that states "Always on Top"? Well, I personally don't find it as necessary, as most of those event types can be accomplished with a well placed fog, or a larger event. These are all events that can ensure that the 'floor' you're walking on is full of life! Now, there's a simple way to do this for events. Fishes swimming underneath an icy pond, lava cracks justting out from rocky soil, animated rain drops for the rain that comes down. Some of the best details of parallax mapping is to have a living breathing environment. If you place an event tile on your RPG Maker XP map, place it on a layer on your Tiled Map. Keep in mind, that while adding your parallax map as a cut-up image on your tileset might help you with the editor but indeed can be problematic, as with just an 80x80 map, you're dealing with 6400 individual 32x32 tiles, which, by sheer calculation, and bare minimum, means you're losing a layer on your map that is MEANT for your parallax background, and the tileset itself will be a whopping 256 x 25600 - Not very helpful for huge maps (considering we have all those individual graphics, not to mention the tiles you're actually placing ON the map to have stuff to go behind. Making your map make the most out of parallax backgrounds tends to lend itself more to RPG Maker VXAce, but with the right tooling, it can be just as good in RPG Maker, and to help you along I've included the names and some resources that can help you with the build. One of the greatest limitations people continue to talk about in RMXP is that you can't see the parralax background in the editor for that software (which turns a lot of people off to RMXP in general, that and the new-ish Ruby 1.9 in RMVXA)I thought I should address this. Jordan Addison, the receiver who comes in motion, ends up as the middle receiver in the newly-created trips formation and runs a deep post. But they motion a receiver across the formation, adjusting into a 3×1 alignment. On this touchdown against Duke, Pittsburgh begins the play in a 2×2 formation, with Pickett in the shotgun. We can start with an example of Pickett and the Panthers using motion to create an advantage. Those are certainly some of the tenets of Steelers offensive coordinator Matt Canada’s offensive philosophy. Under Mark Whipple in college, Pickett ran an offense that used a lot of pre-snap movement and motion, and also relied on him operating while under center. But there are other reasons for that conclusion, and those lead us to the potential similarities between the offense he ran in college, and what he might be running in the NFL. ![]() Pickett’s willingness to target the middle of the field was a part of the reason evaluators looked at him as the most pro-ready prospect in the class. The Pro Football Focus draft guide included this heat map of Pickett’s throws last season, and his ability to attack between the numbers stands out among the quarterbacks in this class: In addition, Pickett was one of the quarterbacks in this class with a track record of attacking the middle of the field, with the arm talent to layer throws over second-level defenders and in front of third-level defenders. Pickett is an accurate, experienced passer with good feel for the position and throwing receivers open to all levels of the field. The case for Pickett as a first-round prospect, whether in this draft or in any, came down to his floor as a quarterback. Why might he be an ideal fit for the current - and future - Steelers’ offense? As we all know by now, Kenny Pickett was the only quarterback to come off the board within the first two round of the NFL draft, as the Pittsburgh Steelers made him their first-round selection at 20 overall. 12/29/2023 0 Comments Tidiness in the bible![]() I conclude with some theoretical reflections that build on Jonathan Westin’s “vocabulary of limitations,” which itself draws on the sociology of translation, to suggest that the material dimensions of scriptures in this liminal age highlights the role of these texts as objects which both embody and contribute to social and cultural values. Specific focus is placed on the iconic role of scriptures, an aspect often bound up with issues of materiality. Drawing on the notion of diverse functional dimensions of scriptures, this study highlights the complex way in which the use of sacred texts in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam is being affected by the digital turn. This essay explores some of the social and cultural dynamics involved in converting or translating scriptures to digital formats, issues which take on heightened significance because of the sacred status of these. ![]() The “digital turn” witnessed over the past several decades has had a significant impact on the use of sacred texts, although the full extent of these developments is far from settled. Ultimately, Bielo's ethnography sheds much needed light on the power of group Bible study for the ever-evolving shape of American Evangelicalism. ![]() Bielo's approach allows these Evangelical groups to speak for themselves, illustrating Bible study's uniqueness in Evangelical life as a site of open and critical dialogue. Through a close analysis of participants' discourse, Bielo examines the defining themes of group life-from textual interpretation to spiritual intimacy and the rehearsal of witnessing. Bielo draws on over nineteen months of ethnographic work with five congregations to better understand why group Bible study matters so much to Evangelicals and for Evangelical culture. Here they become self-conscious religious subjects, sharing the intimate details of life, interrogating beliefs and practices, and articulating their version of Christian identity and culture. What happens in these groups? How do they help shape the contours of American Evangelical life? While more public forms of political activism have captured popular and scholarly imaginations, it is in group Bible study that Evangelicals reflect on the details of their faith. It will subsequently be applied to explore the relation between the Bible and its concrete materiality with a comparative focus on print and digital versions of the Bible.Įvangelical Bible study groups are the most prolific type of small group in American society, with more than 30 million Protestants gathering every week for this distinct purpose, meeting in homes, churches, coffee shops, restaurants, and other public and private venues across the country. The second part will discuss an analytic model suggested by material religion scholar David Morgan along which a material analysis of religious objects should be developed. Thus the first part of the chapter introduces the frame of material culture studies and the approach to materiality in the study of religion. ![]() The transition from print culture to digital culture has not gone uncontested and the discussions among Christians about the appropriateness of digital Bible media for religious practices points towards a contestation of the materiality of the medium through which God’s Word, and thereby God, is made present to religious practitioners. According to surveys commissioned by the American Bible Society, announcements from big Bible Publishers, and my own observations among contemporary Evangelical and Pentecostal Christians in America, digital Bibles and Bible Apps are on the rise. The chapter addresses the material dimension of the Bible in the discourse and practice of Evangelical and Pentecostal Christians. 12/29/2023 0 Comments The numberlys book walmartWal-Mart was founded by Sam Walton in Rogers, Arkansas, in 1962 and focused its early growth in rural areas, thereby avoiding direct competition with retailing giants such as Sears and Kmart.
